Docks deal slammed

A LEADING Hobart business group has criticised the State Government for being too secretive and slow in announcing major changes planned for Hobart’s waterfront. The Sullivans Cove Waterfront Business Community group met yesterday to discuss the large-scale ferry-hotel development proposed by a private consortium to replace the Brooke St ferry jetties. Premier David Bartlett confirmed this week that, as a result of a year-long tender process, the Hunter Developments group led by Federal Hotels had been chosen six weeks ago to redevelop the prime site.
