Tasmanians must realise that we have some of the purest, least contaminated water in the world. Thanks to the forest industry, and to agriculture, this lovely picture is deteriorating year by year. Tasmania is now being seen as a prime target by the global water corporations. We must not allow this to happen! If we stand united, we can stop it!!
THE Tasmanian government has in progress a move to take over water and sewerage facilities from local councils, and existing water authorities.
Needless to say, the stated reasons for doing so are a smokescreen for the real objective. It was the Lennon government’s intention to bring about the ‘privatisation’ of Tasmania’s water. I do not know if this could change since Thuggo’s departure.
Privatisation means corporatisation!
I will have more information soon – but I have been informed that (at least two) major global corporations have been to Tasmania to talk to Lennon and others about this. This is entirely consistent with a massive push around the world for corporations to seize control – by mostly foul means – the Earth’s water supplies.
In the usual way, we the people are not consulted. We are not consulted about the fate of OUR WATER!
I call on ALL TASMANIANS to wise up, then rise up in opposition. To STOP OUR WATER from being sold!!
Potable WATER is now being seen as even more important than oil! In case you have not noticed, in many parts of this planet, there is a critical shortage – and the situation is deteriorating fast.
Without water, we are stuffed! No water, no food! In reality, we can live without oil. We cannot live without water.
If global corporations have control of our water here in Tasmania, we will quickly find ourselves in deep doo doo. Everyone – householders, farmers, industry will be forced to pay very high prices. Already there are schemes to pipe our best water across Bass Strait. Keep in mind too that for many years now, a lot of our water is being stolen by one industry.
The plantation industry get first access to Tasmania’s water by planting their chemically dependent trees in the upper catchments – always the ones that get the highest rainfall. Many of our farmers are already suffering the consequences as one year round streams dry up in the summer and autumn months.
Needless to say, the plantation corporations pay nothing. Further, they cannot be held to account by those who suffer consequential damage.

Ask yourself – do you want to lose ownership of your water – your natural birthright?!
The following is from Canada – where the corporations are also active!
