An invitation to Franklin campaigners

It’s exciting that Franklin campaigners and supporters are travelling from around Australia to be part of the special Franklin 25th anniversary event on 1 July, which is being organised by Bob’s office. Over 900 people will be part of the celebration. With so many gathering for a fast moving night of speakers, videos and songs I thought how wonderful it would be if those who took part in the campaign (whatever your role) could have time together during the day for relaxed conversation over a cuppa … a chance to renew friendships, exchange hugs and have a good chin wag about the campaign or the years since. We might not get another chance quite like it.

When …

Tuesday 1 July, 2pm – 5pm
Where: The Alley Cat Bar, 381 Elizabeth Street, North Hobart (just up from the State Theatre).
Refreshments: Tea and coffee can be purchased at the venue. Afternoon tea treats will be provided. There is no budget for this event, so please chip in, say, $8/person to cover food.
RSVP: Not essential, but it would greatly help with catering. From Saturday I’ll be travelling from Albany to Hobart, so I may not be able to reply to queries. However, Amanda Sully, TWS Hobart, is kindly helping with the logistics for the event and can be reached at amanda.sully@wilderness.org.au

If you haven’t booked for the evening event, information is available at www.franklin25th.com Tickets are available from Centretainment www.centretainment.com.au

Hope you can make it along to the afternoon cuppa followed by the special evening celebration. Spread the word.
