Although HCC’s unhealthy role in the arrests of gay activists and their friends and families has been well documented in Miranda Morris’ excellent book “The Pink Triangle”, there were no charges laid for the distribution of “pornography” as is now claimed by several prominent Aldermen HCC aldermen. Their selective confusion between “pornography” versus safe sex messages distributed by the Salamanca stall at the height of the HIV/AIDS crisis is a grim reminder of wealth of embedded biases flourishing within our city’s leadership, one of whom is a licensed medical practitioner.
