THE Lennon Government has suffered a massive slump in popularity in the past two months, with its level of voter support plummeting 6 per cent since March. The latest EMRS Tasmanian political poll is a triumph for the Liberal Opposition and its young leader Will Hodgman. For the first time in eight years, the Liberals are now more popular with voters than the Labor Government. And double the number of voters would prefer Liberal Opposition leader Will Hodgman to be Tasmania’s premier than Premier Paul Lennon. Just 17 per cent of Tasmanians now want Mr Lennon as premier, while 39 per cent of voters surveyed would prefer Mr Hodgman to be the state’s leader. Read more here
