Craft & Quilt Fair …
returns to Island of Inspiration and is sure to prove a high-flying sensation

Australia’s No. 1 craft event is back in Hobart at the Derwent Entertainment Centre from Friday, June 27 – Sunday, June 29, 2008.

This year, a very special exhibition of quilts, Under Flynn’s Wings, will be on display to mark the 80th anniversary of the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Also featuring, the Tasmanian Quilting Guild will display their ‘Island Quilts 2008’ exhibition – a collection of more than 250 quilts created by guild members from around the state.

An extraordinary exhibition, exclusive to the 2008 series of Craft & Quilt Fairs and entitled Japanese Textile Art, will provide visitors with a once in a lifetime opportunity to view a collection of works from some of Japan’s most talented craftspeople.

There will be numerous inspirational displays and exhibitions to be admired as well as several of Australia’s best instructors and teachers, running demonstrations and interactive workshops.

With so much to be inspired by and the opportunity to stock up on the widest variety of craft supplies from around the country, this is the must attend event on any creative person’s calendar.
