It’s quite clear from what the Director of Public Prosecutions has said is that there is no independent authority to investigate these matters and one could take it from that that is in fact a clear support by the DPP for an independent body such as an Independent Commission Against Corruption because it simply doesn’t exist.

And of course it’s in response to our request under the direction of the Attorney-General who advised us to take it to the DPP. He has now said that advice is clearly wrong and that there is no independent body and obviously therefore we need one.
