Are these reports wrong? Or is Mr Kons unable to deal with his own staff issues in-house? Why were the Premier’s staff diverted to dealing with these matters if they were not of direct concern to the Premier? Or, most important, are the current denials intended to retro-fit the truth to try to salvage the image make-over of the Uber Bogan into something he is not?
YESTERDAY, on 1 April, Paul Lennon denied to the Parliament any involvement in the dismissal of Nigel Burch, while Steve Kons publicly stated that he had fired Burch himself.
If this is the case, why was it widely reported at the time that Mr Burch had been dismissed in a special visit not only from Mr Kons’ chief of staff, Gary Hill, but ALSO Mr Lennon’s office manager, Hayley Phillips who were “understood to have driven to Burnie on Monday morning specifically to sack Mr Burch”? Why was it reported that the “letter of instant dismissal handed to Mr Burch at 11am on Monday was signed by Mr Lennon’s office chief, Daniel Leesong”?

Perhaps either our embarassing Premier or his spineless deputy would care to explain these discrepancies? Or is it morally and legally acceptable to mislead the people and Parliament (even further) on April Fools Day?
