Corporations and climate change
Richard Butler
Many readers will be well aware that in other parts of the world the issues of climate change are becoming more the domain of large corporations and not singularly those of government. As we increase our awareness and demand for cleaner and more sustainable practices those companies with a corporate emotional maturity relevant to the 21st century are getting ahead of the game. Why ? Because when we don’t like what the corporates do to the environment we stop buying from them. Attached is an article from global consultancy giant McKinseys which addresses these matters. Note it doesn’t carry the emotional barbs that many contributions to Tasmanian Times carry. Make sure you all buy ONLY from those companies you support, and make sure you brown eye those you don’t.
