BUDDING Tasmanian writers – and mainlanders on holiday – will have a chance to improve their writing skills at two writing events in January.
New Zealand writer and teacher Keith Lyons – currently based in Tibet – is offering a week-long writer’s retreat on Tasmania’s east coast at Beaumaris on 14-20 January and a long-weekend writing workshop on 26-28 January in Hobart.
He says the two events provide a unique opportunity to write, experiment, develop, and gain inspiration. “The workshop and retreat are both very practical, with challenging exercises and writing sessions, as well as the chance to gain feedback from attentive readers.”
Costs have been kept low to allow anyone to attend and take part.
