Highest rate of poverty in Australia

To mark the start of Anti-Poverty Week, TasCOSS chief executive Tom Muller yesterday released a damning report showing Tasmania has the highest rate of poverty in Australia. The report, An Unfair State: Poverty, Disadvantage and Exclusion, shows that more than 55,000 Tasmanians live below the poverty line.
