VOTERS’ BLOCK NUMBERS 18,000

The Voters’ Block of TAP (Tasmanians Against the Pulpmill) now turns its attention to local and federal politics.

18,000 citizens of Tasmania have pledged a declaration which states that they will not vote for any politician who voted for the pulp mill in the Tamar Valley.

A questionaire has been sent to all people who have elected to stand in the federal and/or local Tamar Valley municipal elections.

TAP WILL support those who have elected to not support the mill and WILL campaign for them.

TAP will NOT support those who voted for the pulpmill and will work AGAINST them.

Names of those who we support will be presented as questionaires are returned.

We have emails requesting who to vote for in the local elections. We only got the list of candidates (without contact details) last week. Letters have been written but replies have been few but, so far, we can say …
