Food producers will be workshopping strategies to combat the dire threats to farming and fishing in Tasmania brought about by MIS plantations, government actions, water scarcity, the proposed pulp mill, market monopolies, challenges of rising oil prices, global warming etc.
Producers will be developing tools such as marketing and lobbying mechanisms, business structures, technologies etc. which will enable them to prosper and be well positioned to take advantage of rapid changes.
The workshop will be held in secret but Robert Belcher (Sustainable Agricultural Communities Australia SACA) will be available for media interviews.
