There is a phrase that is relevant here: “when you are up to your arse in crocodiles, it is difficult to remember that the original objective was to drain the swamp.” We need someone to find the plughole. To the hardworking journos out there, I suggest respectfully that your efforts to date lack the focus required to bring about the change that is so clearly needed. Your “balance” keeps you from the prize. The story by story approach is killing crocs, but not draining the swamp in which they are breeding. Lets see a real crusade, gather the evidence, build the case, rort by stinking rort, and then, if the case stands up, lets call for nothing less than the disollution of parliment and a royal commision. It all has to be together, one article, at one sitting. Just calling for a royal commision, without presenting all the evidence together, at once, has not, and will never, bring about anything but scorn and derision from JohnPaul et al.
