The tipping point

Are we such a dull and stupid people that we continue to be seduced by charlatans and swindlers whose only offering is to steal the common wealth?

Tasmania is approaching a tipping point; it is no longer balanced socially, economically or environmentally.

Across our communities there is a growing sense of betrayal; ordinary people have been seriously deceived.

Some politicians can smell change in the air; after all, it is their sharpest self-survival instinct. But there are others that have been seduced and addicted to power; too dulled to even notice changes in the wind; they are far too busy being told what to do, making secret deals, changing the rules of governance and spinning deceptions.

And so, tragically … Tasmanians continue to be seduced and ruled through deception.

Yet who are the controlling subterraneans with know-how and sharp experience to use elected office for selfish purposes?

Who are these hidden individuals who put up straw men to become elected dictators and puppet kings?

Always look to the quiet ones! The hidden ones — the swindlers and the charlatans — those who manufacture the threads that spin the fabric of naked, raw deception.

For them, Tasmania is still too rich to remain exposed and unexploited. It must be cloaked in a ‘swindle cloth’ to cover it and then shamelessly seduce it.

It an innocent that has been defiled.

And STILL Tasmania is divided and controlled along feudal lines. Fiefdoms reminiscent of a bygone era operate to explore for its hidden wealth and exploit the opportunities!

Natural ecologies and human communities become mere play-things of bold deceivers corrupted by the need to win at any cost. Swindlers experienced in the art of installing straw-kings, who in turn are simply corrupted by the shine of money and exercise of bullying power.

These invisible threads are unravelling; this empty fabric can offer no support and this rough beast is exposed.

Remember as you tip your night waste on our naked shameless Emperors with their sad, saggy-baggy countenances, that there are bound to the swindlers, and the deceivers, who have made it so.

It was ever thus!
