The powerful forestry branch of the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union (CFMEU) is making no apologies for doing financial deals with a controversial timber company. CFMEU officials say their members have done nothing wrong by buying second-hand cars from Tasmanian timber giant Gunns Limited or in taking donations from the timber industry to help fight a court case.
