THE company assessing Gunns Ltd’s pulp mill proposal is a business partner of the firms contracted to design and build the project. Pulp mill expert Warwick Raverty slammed the State Government’s appointment yesterday, saying it smacked of bias and lacked independence. Australian expertise had been shunned, he said. “It’s on the nose, just like the stench from some of the worst pulp mills in the world,” Dr Raverty said.
