Not the family again …
Matt Denholm The Australian
Mr Lennon issued a statement last night saying: “I told Ms Hornsey to stress the fact to him that I would not do anything without his agreement. That is borne out by his statement. He confirmed I did not act unlawfully. Mr Wright’s comments today clearly show the depth that the Liberals and Greens will stoop to in an attempt to damage me and my family.”

Former Judge says Lennon lied
All about that family:
A brief recent history of Labor mateship, family, nudge, wink
Matthew Denholm comment (not online):
If you go with the Judge, Justice Christopher Wright, you must conclude Paul Lennon has misled Parliament, abused his power and positiion and, according to some legal opinions, potentially broken the law. He has also most likely destroyed whatever small prospect remained of Tasmanians being able to have confidence in his fast-track assessment of Gunns Ltd’s $2 billion pulp mill.
Independent and Labor members of the state’s upper house, whose votes will decide if the emasculated assessment proceeds, must consider carefully Mr Wright’s evidence.
His view that a greatly shortened assessment without public hearings is “fundamentally flawed” cannot be easily dismissed.

Lennon’s statement in reply failed to address any of the serious questions raised. Worse, the Premier made a pathetic attemptto drag his own family into the scandal.
