Join Richard Flanagan, Peter Cundall, Peter Whish-Wilson (Surfrider Foundation) and others at the BASS says NO to the pulp mill! Rally
When: 12 noon Sunday 1st April 2007
Where: Albert Hall, Launceston
THIS fast-track pulp mill will destroy the forests of Tasmania and degrade your future water supply. It will pollute the air and the sea. Is this the future you want for your children?
By the weekend, the fast-track legislation may have passed through the Tasmanian Parliament. But the fight is far from over. Gunns also has to persuade the Federal Government that the mill is safe and sustainable.
This rally is your opportunity to send a clear message to the Federal Government and to Federal Environment Minister Malcolm Turnbull that BASS says NO to the pulp mill.
Spread the word about this rally amongst your family and friends and encourage everyone to attend. There will be a bus leaving Hobart on Sunday morning to go to the rally. To book call (03) 6224 1550.
