Tasmanians Against the Pulp Mill Press Release

TAP (Tasmanians Against the Pulp Mill) today launched a new way in which ordinary Tasmanians can express serious opposition to the pulp mill proposed for the Tamar Valley.
Forms by which people can add their names to the VOTERS’ BLOCK AGAINST THE PULP MILL will be widely circulated throughout the state in coming weeks.

Organisers say they expect to have many thousands of names collected by the culmination of the Land & Water Rally in Launceston on March 3rd.

Voters who are not prepared to vote for any candidate who supports the pulp mill can add their names to the Voters’ Block by logging on to the TAP website:

www.tapvision.info

All candidates for forthcoming Federal and Local elections will be interviewed by TAP members and their responses circulated to Voters’ Block members.

Voters’ Block representative, Joy Elizabeth, said that it was time those who have been riding roughshod over their electors realised that they could no longer mess with voters.
