Immediately a strange anomaly pops up. We are expected to alter our perceptions about water use and drink former sewage, now made safe. However, and here is the anomaly: Gunns and the mill is to get 26 billion litres of drinking quality water and then pollute it and send it to sea.

WAIT!

Stop!

Let’s get this correct! All communities in Tasmania can expect that in the future recycled sewage and stormwater will be normal. An educational programme seems to be on the way.

Fair enough. The community of Tasmania should probably step into the brave new world of water conservation. No argument.

Why not GIVE Gunns our sewage and stormwater FREE and they can turn it into pulpmill water and the people retain the drinking water from the state’s water catchments?

Everyone wins and we don’t have to worry about drinking treated sewage.
