It is irritating to have to scroll through multiple posts on the same day from the same contributors, when one is trying to avoid reading argumentative drivel from the same couple of contributors swamping the page with posts that are not relevant to a particular thread.
Suggestion: if easily achievable for our hard-working editor, would it be possible to move all the posts which are ‘off’ a particular thread into a slush spot called “Off the Thread” – with no notation on ‘recent comments’? Those contributors simply point-scoring between themselves would know that their personal arguments could be carried on in the slush spot.
Many of Tomas’ contributions would qualify and all arguments about whether or not Dr Kev should sign himself “Dr” and most posts from a former contributor, “Super Annoyed” would have qualified, along with some of Don Davey’s current posts.

As there is only room for a single column of ‘recent comments’, and often the whole column is taken up by the same 2-3 contributors, it is becoming harder to read the posts of other relevant posters without searching back through older screens – and the views of some infrequent posters should not be missed due to ‘swamping’ because their points of view are often spot on.
