All about the Raptor and Wildlife Refuge:

The Raptor and Wildlife Refuge of Tasmania Inc. has evolved from very humble beginnings. We now boast two of the largest raptor flight aviaries in the southern hemiphere and have many more facilities to cater for all types of injured and orphaned wildlife needing care as a result of man-made problems.

Our goal is quite simple: to have the best facilities available and with tender loving care and expert veterinary advice, rehabilitate any wildlife which needs a safe haven, before releasing it back to nature.

Educating the next generation via school groups is extremely high on our list of priorities and if we can make any difference, however small, it is a step in the right direction.

In a world that seems intent on developing and making money, I personally want to stand up for our wonderful wildlife and try to be a voice for native animals. Hopefully my views will create awareness and help many animals that otherwise may not survive.

I appreciate your support in our fight to protect our native wildlife and I would like to sincerely thank my committtee, volunteers, sponsors and The Threateneed Species Unit of DPIW who have helped me rehabilitate and release some of our magnificent birds of prey.
