Solar Sailors fall silent
Luci Tania
SOME may recall that on 12 October it was announced that the Tasmanian State Government was engaged in talks with Sydney-based company Solar Sailors to ship 50 gigalitres of potable water to Sydney per annum (The myth of plenty).
The “viability” report of this interesting and colourful proposal was due to be presented to Minister David Llewellyn last Friday (3 November 2006). As predicted, news about the outcome of this proposal has been noticeably quiet (non-existent).
Can we assume that the deafening silence from the State Government is vindication of the Tas Times analysis?
We eagerly await the next great opportunity (or hair-brained idea) to be presented by the white-shoe brigade to the gullible government and media of Tasmania.
Quad Errat Demonstrandum.
