They won’t print my letters

Dissapointingly this has ceased since my accusations to this people’s forum of their extreme bias in favour of the Gunns’ proposed pulp mill.

I HAVE contributed to the “letters” forum for some 25 years; some readers have disagreed with my point of view which is their right in a democratic society but most have agreed with calls and letters over those years.

Dissapointingly this has ceased since my accusations to this people’s forum of their extreme bias in favour of the Gunns’ proposed pulp mill.

I have been told of similar action by this monopoly by many of my fellow contributors, which is exactly what occurs when papers amalgamate and are controlled beneath a single banner, similarly as can be demonstrated by supermarket chains and petrol companies.

I notice with interest that ex editor “Rod Scott” now holds a position within the Premier’s Dept; oddly enough I did not find him to be as indisposed.

I feel passionately of many issues facing not only this state but the entire planet, however this avenue “letters” whilst supposedly empowering we citizens, has become a churlish example of corporate intimidation, censorship, and suppression of facts.
