Tasmania’s sacked deputy premier Bryan Green has appeared in court this morning in Hobart charged with conspiracy and attempting to interfere with an executive officer.
The criminal charges relate to the illegal deal Mr Green signed with the director of the building accreditation company, the Tasmanian Compliance Corporation, two days before the State election was called in February, guaranteeing the TCC an exclusive three-year monopoly contract with the Tasmanian Government.
Mr John White, of the directors of the private TCC which runs the State’s building industry registration and complaints system, has also been charged with the same two criminal actions.
