The Tasmanian Greens say all of Gunns’ calculations on pollution from its proposed pulp mill are now in question, after it revealed dioxin levels could be 45 times higher than first reported. Consultant Toxicos notified Gunns more than two weeks ago that its dioxin figure was wrong, blaming the mistake on a transcription error. The timber company posted the change on its website last Friday. That was more than two weeks after it was notified and a week before submissions to the Resource Planning and Development Commission (RPDC) close.
