Battery Pointer
The AGM of the Battery Point Sullivans Cove Community Association will be held in the Battery Point Community Hall, Hampden Rd, on Tuesday October 3rd at 7.30pm. All positions on the committee, including president and secretary, are open for election. To nominate someone, be nominated, or vote, you must be a financial member of the Association, which costs $5 a year.
Membership is open to anyone who lives or works in the suburb, owns property or a business in the suburb, or who has a demonstrable interest in it. If your membership has lapsed or you wish to join, you can do so at the Battery Point Post Office in Hampden Rd, or by ringing President/Public Officer David Edwards on 6223 6703.
If you wish to nominate someone for a position, nomination forms are available from Mr Edwards. Candidates must sign the form, which must also be signed by two financial members, and delivered to the Public Officer no later than five days before the AGM, ie, by Thursday September 28th.
