Mr Cundall’s shovel
Ken White
On August 18 Woodbridge School provided the venue for Gardening Australia ABC TV with Peter Cundall for a large segment which will go to air on Saturday September 16 at 6.30 p.m.
Gardening Australia were induced to investigate Woodbridge School because of the sheer number of environmental awards and citations the school had won over the last year or two.
Most of the drive for this recognition is centred around primary teacher Nel Smit who is doing wonders with the primary school students; backed up by the School Principal and the Woodbridge Community.
The picture below is a fun one I took during filming. This one TV shoot was in the wetlands when the camera was about to roll the director called ‘cut’ because it was not aappropriate for Peter to be in the wetlands with a spade. The camera-man went in and retrieved the spade.
The children looked bewildered and Peter Cundall looked uncharacteristically sad while the camera-man was
uncharacteristically stern …
