Forestry
1.4 per cent pulp mill support
By Paul Oosting, Press Release
No one has denied that a small number of businesses, especially Gunns, stand to make a large amount of money if the pulp mill goes ahead. But, how on earth can Bryan Green call 1.4% of businesses surveyed mentioning the pulp mill in a positive way strong support.
BRYAN Green has released the Regional Economic Development and Investment plan project findings and claimed there was strong support for the pulp mill.
This report was released in double page advertisements in Tasmanian newspapers.
Only 1.4% of the businesses surveyed gave a positive comment on the pulp mill. Of the 1323 businesses who responded (from a total of 4000 sent out) only 19 of those mentioned the pulp mill positively, 3 mentioned it negatively.

This pulp mill will drive ongoing forest destruction and pollute both the air and marine environment. After receiving millions of dollars in tax payer subsidised propaganda the pulp mill is still only getting 1.4% from the business community. Clearly Tasmanian’s can see through the spin.
