Just what is going on with our head of Federal Police? Why is Mick Keelty so determined to de-rail Schappelle Corby’s defence.

The answer might be he has other fish to fry at the moment, not spooking the baggage handlers involved in the cocaine racket until he has sufficient evidence to charge them.

But if this is not the case, his behaviour has been nothing less than disgraceful.

That Schappelle Corby is innocent under the rules of reasonable doubt that exist in this country is unchallengeable.

That our government, the AFP and others who could have done something already have been negligent is equally so.

Well done to Tony Forster for his ban on booking holidays to Bali. It is bouncing around the country and I think the Indonesians will be spooked to a certain extent.

When the girl finally gets home, Australians want to ask a lot of hard questions about the head of the AFP. Is he the right man for the job because his primary obligation is to protect innocent Australians. He has let down Schappelle Corby. Who else might he let down in pursuit of some unknown goal or merely to protect his reputation.

Scary, scary stuff. Just remember, it could have been any one of us off on a holiday who had that stuff slipped into our bags. Even Princess Mary. Now wouldn’t that have titillated the old Mock into action.

The evidence is now overwhelming of criminality, corruption and recklessness among baggage handlers. Let’s not run away from that any more, least of all you, Mick Keelty.
