BREAKING NEWS –
WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY OUTING TO THE BEAUTIFUL BLUE TIER

Dear All
For those of you that have followed the Friends of the Blue Tier campaign
to promote tourism in the Blue Tier and northeast and to any who have walked the beautiful Chrystal Creek walk you will know how much potential the area has but also that it has always been earmarked for clearfelling.
Well we kept them out for three years and they have had to change their Forest Practice Plan but the bad news is they have now moved in.
So! On Sunday June 5 (World Environment Day) when the machines are silent we are inviting everyone to a spontaneous picnic at Crystal Creek for a ‘Concert In The Clearfell’ – bring yourself, warm clothes, walking boots, a picnic lunch and an instrument if you have one!
Carpool from the Green Room at 10am to re gather at the Weldborough Hotel at12 noon and from there travel along Tasman Highway to Lottah Rd turn off (on the left) and travel until we reach the Crystal Creek turn off (to the right) where there will be a car or sign to show the way.
Please come along for a good day out in the bush to pay respect to the much loved Crystal Creek Walk
