My good friend Bacchus No-Smoke was enjoying a Scotch at the Athenaeum Club in Hobart where he heard that the new owner of Patterdale is Launceston eye surgeon Rodney Westmore.
Pattterdale, the Deddington grazing property once owned by colonial artist John Glover, sold for more than $4.5 million, but the identity of the new owner has been a closely guarded secret.
Bacchus tells me Rodney was nicely cashed up, having already sold land he owned on Flinders Island.
