Labor leader Rebecca White has today confirmed that she has been sent into exile, as far away as possible from the Braddon by-election campaign
Ms White is the election kiss of death and the Labor Party clearly knows it.
Ms White led her party to their third worst election defeat, her team was thumped in Braddon at the State Election and Labor failed to win Prosser despite Ms White campaigning nearly every day.
It is no wonder why Ms White has been told to stay away from Braddon.
If Labor loses the Braddon by-election it’s not just Bill Shorten’s leadership that will be in serious question. It will give leadership hopeful David O’Byrne even greater ammunition to use against the failing Ms White.
And to think, this weekend was supposed to be Labor’s state conference but Ms White cancelled it to buy time to shore-up her leadership, when in actual fact, she may have handed her opponent the final nail.
