This Friday and Saturday night as part of the 2018 Tasmanian Heritage Festival, the Hobart Convict Penitentiary will present two evenings of In the Shadow, a historical theatre piece written by Anne Blyth-Cooper, with music by Louella Jury.
Based on the real life story of local colonial identity, Peter Degraves and his wife Sophia, this short but powerful play explores their lives and the realities of life in early colonial Hobart.
This special play is back for these two nights only, and set against the backdrop of the internationally significant Hobart Convict Penitentiary, it’s sure to be an evening to remember.
Performances start at 8pm and last for one hour, with tickets available for $20.00 per adult.
Tickets are available via nationaltrusttas.rezdy.com/233725/in-the-shadow.
