Shooters, Fishers & Farmers Party Tasmania rejects the recently released Liberal plan veiled attempt to buy votes from Tasmanian workers who have contributed for years to State revenues and now retired, to a merger one-year free entry to OUR State owned National Parks.

Parks which these retired workers have been supporting through taxes for their working lives.

Tasmania has more than 70,000 on the aged and another 28,000 on the disability support pension, and they are struggling to meet the ever-increasing costs of living.

They work hard all their lives, paid their taxes and helped built and landscape this great state, yet career politicians and their parties refuse to assist them in their hour of need.

We propose that if elected pensioners would be exempt from annual car registration fees.

In addition, Tasmanian pensioners should have free … unfettered access to their State-owned “public” treasures permanently.

Another, cost which we believe the government of the day should absorb, anglers purchasing Inland Fishery licences should have access to ALL waters contained within National Park boundaries during legal fishing seasons, the double up fees of paying State Park fees and licence fees is nothing more than rort, excessive fees being extorting from anglers for years.

Changed pencil boundaries on areas like Lake King William have now precluded anglers, many who are pensioners from access to waters they have fished for generations. Lake Pedder is another example of stupidity with imaginary boundaries over water.

The Lake, Land and Sea is for all to enjoy for those who love it.
