Sustainable Living Tasmania welcomes the introduction of the Tasmanian Energy Efficiency Loan Scheme (TEELS). Making homes and businesses more energy efficient has many benefits, including financial savings, improved comfort and health, and reduced dependence on polluting electricity from the mainland.
Sustainable Living Tasmania’s Executive Officer, Todd Houstein, said that “while energy efficiency opportunities often give great financial returns over a number of years, there are a number of barriers.”
“There are so many options; working out which is best for you can be overwhelming. That’s where we can help by providing advice and product recommendations,” Mr Houstein said.
Sustainable Living Tasmania have been providing expert on energy advice to Tasmanian households for decades.
“People can contact us by phone or email, or visit us at our office in Murray St. They can also receive advice, recommendations and quotes from our social enterprise website at ecohomeguide.com.au,” Mr Houstein said.
“Upfront cost can also be a barrier, and TEELS can help many people overcome that,” Mr Houstein said.
