Ellendale paedophile house closure tolls timely warning to so called Teen Challenge Meander drug rehab centre.

MARRA (Meander Area Residents and Ratepayers Association President Bodhi McSweeney today said that the community was buoyed by reports of the imminent closure of the Ellendale Freedom House paedophile rehab centre and that it was a timely warning to so called Teen Challenge, to give up on its divisive and unpopular plan to start a faith-based drug rehab centre in Meander.

“Our Meander Community has been buoyed by the news that Ellendale freedom house was to close.”

“This shows what community action can do.” said Ms McSweeney.

“Like the Ellendale community we are fighting a proposal that would see drug addicts and domestic violence victims virtually incarcerated in our primary school on our main street.”

“Like Freedom House which claims to cure paedophiles, Teen Challenge purports to cure drug addicts using the same faith-based system.”

“Pray to God and give us your dole cheque.”

“Well it’s not ok in Ellendale and it’s not ok in Meander”

“There is no place for dangerous social experiments in country communities … not even once”

“Our community has the right to feel safe and we will never stop fighting to have Teen Challenge removed and our primary school returned for community purposes.”

“This is why it is vital for us to appeal the Meander Valley Council’s approval of Teen Challenge’s planning application.”
