Shooters and Fishers Party Tasmanian advocates for the right of Tasmanian’s to medicinal cannabis, that may give them quality of life and respite from pain and suffering.
SFP Tasmania supports de-criminalisation of the possession, use, manufacture and sale of medicinal cannabis and believes there is great opportunity for Tasmania.
SFP Tasmania is not advocating changing the laws on recreational use, only medicinal cannabis and its clinical use.
The use of medicinal cannabis is legal in many countries; including Austria, Canada, Germany, and a host of other western countries.
Tasmanians are suffering pain and indignity due to the inaction of government failing to allow law abiding citizens the right to medicine.
It has proven properties and positive effects for sick children and those who may be terminally ill. Those turning to medicinal cannabis for relief from pain and suffering should not be criminalised.
Surely it’s only right Tasmanian’s should have the right to access to this clinically proven treatment.
