Meander Area Residents and Ratepayers Association Inc (MARRA)
The president of the Meander Area Residents and Ratepayers Association, Ms Bodhi McSweeney, said today that it was very sad that Teen Challenge supporters had vandalised seats and stolen property belonging to the community, however MARRA members were now more determined than ever to regain the school.
“The vandalism and theft highlights our community’s concerns as to the type of people that Teen Challenge will attract,” said Ms McSweeney ”
“It is very sad that if you don’t agree with Teen Challenge then you become a target for vandalism and hate”
“These acts of theft and vandalism have united us even more than before to have the Meander Primary School returned to the Community”
“Despite the vandalism and theft we had a great protest day, with over 40 locals turning up, and lots of great signs on display. Our signs were painted by our members all of whom live in this community”
“Teen Challenge on the other hand, had mostly non locals at their music event, with a handful of locals putting up multiple signs to make it look like they have support”
“Teen Challenge deceived the community and now seek to divide it, however we will continue with our peaceful protests and we will never give up”
