The Chief Fire Officer has assured me the Tasmania Fire Service (TFS) will continue to deliver the services required for business and the community to accredit bushfire plans over the summer period.

I have also asked the Chief Fire Officer to ensure the TFS redoubles its efforts to process them in a timely manner and he has assured me that this will occur.

I am advised an unsigned message that was distributed from within the organisation yesterday does not reflect the position of the TFS and was sent without awareness or approval of the Chief Fire Officer .
