In the media recently I have been listening to the government’s plan to revise penalties for road convictions.

Our son was killed by a negligent driver.

It has had said to me by many people since our tragedy … if that happened to one of their children they would want the person locked up forever.

I understand that HELL is having a knock on the door and someone telling you that your son/daughter or a loved one is dead.

It cripples you for life.

So instead of imprisonment I believe that the penalties for that person should be to work and support that family for the rest of their life, as the victim’s family gets a life sentence.
