Deep divisions in the Labor Party have emerged following the Government’s proposal to amend the Anti-Discrimination laws to ensure free speech for all.

In Parliament, Mr Llewellyn has clearly stated that:

“…the very values enjoyed in Australia of freedom of speech, freedom of press, freedom of religion – cornerstones of our society – are being inappropriately challenged.”

We are aware that there are others in the Labor Party that may also support Mr Llewellyn’s stance.

We completely agree with Mr Llewellyn. That’s why we have proposed changes to the law to enshrine that freedom of speech.

Bryan Green’s stance on free speech is completely in lock step with the Greens and shows once again that given half a chance, he would jump back into bed with the Greens in a heartbeat.
