The state of happiness comes in various forms: education, employment, good health, and, healthy leisure, along with peace. Losing a job or business leads to distress and pain. It is a universal truth. Dr. Baljit Singh

Your aunty comes from America. At 6pm, she drinks tea. She also asks you to drink. You tell your Aunty, it disturbs my sleep. Your Aunty says, do not worry, tomorrow is Sunday. Your mummy says, “Aunty makes a delicious tea.” Would you drink when it disturbs your sleep? No! Your Aunty would still sleep at 10pm, but you will be awake the whole night. Next morning you will get up at 11am. Your body will still be tired; your friends might have started their day with a fresh air morning walk.

A health promotion strategy combines socio-economic, demographic, environmental, and political processes to facilitate better health practices.
• If we need more hospital beds, we give more money to the hospital. Businesses do make more beds, but the hospital does not have the money. The government cannot give them, because, they have no money. Therefore, all governments should print more money to let the hospital buy more beds, to promote health.
• Millions of workers, all over the world cannot afford to have, even one-time proper meal. They face hunger, malnutrition, and are anemic. Why do we need to keep workers on a low income, if we want to overcome malnutrition? We need to print more paper notes to raise their wages, to let them, have a nutritious life. It is health promotion.
• Can countries like Australia, England, and Canada afford to stop giving unemployment benefits or elderly pension? No! We need to increase their allowances and pensions to let them have a better life. Many houses in Australia have no heating.
To promote better health status, the basics of everyone required to be very right.
• If you drink and smoke, what will happen?
• If you spend nights in pubs, clubs, and nightclubs, what might happen?
• If we have a habit of blaming others, we would not have the right thing to think and do; we burn from inside to make us ill.
• If we play tricks to humiliate, the mind gets occupied in farming tricks to seek fun and enjoyment, yet, faces anxiety to do more tricks.
Take a walk outside; you will fresh. Make a call to your friend; you will feel fresh. In both cases, your brain refreshes, because you do not put an unnecessary strain on your brain.

Therefore, individuals must not destroy themselves by their behavior.
On the spot, heavy fines will alter the behavior of the smokers, if they some in the non-smoking zones, for example, parklands, and car parks. Recently, outside vicinities of universities were made smoke-free by the Victorian government; it is a health promotional model to save administrators, lecturers, and students, and non-smokers from smoking. Had it this rule not been existed, the government would not have been able to alter their behavior.

We are dependent
When production takes place, many inputs join hand, for instance, land, labor, capital, and entrepreneurship. The producer has to pay these factors of production for their services, for instance, rent, wages, interest, and profits. These factors of production later buy goods and services produced by them to meet their daily life needs, this is, dependency, where all human entities cultivate, create, and construct for each other. The destruction activity through wars and riots is opposite to the construction, cultivation, and creation activity, carried out by the human beings. Doctors and nurses try their best to save even one life, but war and riots kill in heaps. We need not destroy existence. Someone relates to someone, waits for someone.

We learn
The learning and adoption of norms of life begin at home, and adoption of good principles of life is, carried throughout the way, both at home and in the institutions where we work. We all want our children to be in a much safer school environment, so that; children remain safe and acquire a good education and good societal norms. Children too, try to understand what societal norms they are to adopt through the system of learning both at home and at school. When societal norms deteriorated, women too engaged in drinking, and smoking. Good education means good societal norms, which includes good health norms. Much healthier countries like Australia and England perform better on income scale and education. Through the system of better education, we get employment, which means improved earnings, resulting in a better lifestyle. A better-earning capacity also means expenditure on health and well-being, thereby improving overall physical, social, and mental health status, and, reduced mortality and morbidity.

The seeds of construction/destruction within us
Some postulates
• Organizing disturbances: In some countries, if a political minister organizes riots, and bring criminals and prisoners out of Jail to kill innocent civilians, the service of doctors and nurses, become fruitless. Moreover, it leads to social and political unrest in their countries, among people of their own. It is not a promotional health model. It is a health demotion. The gun buyback policy implemented by Hon. John Howard, the Ex-Prime Minister of Australia, has reduced the gun crime in Australia. It is a good health promotional model link. Why would a person buy a gun? Why would a group of people buy guns? Why does a group of people supply guns to a group of people living in another country? What is their intention? There must be some reason. The use of the guns is to kill people. People, who keep guns, have a different mindset.
• Political rallies: Due to poverty and unemployment, many idle and unproductive are brought to political rallies, which postures them to be idle participating in rallies. It reflects why the nation is poor. Governments should ban rallies take ugly turn destructing private and public properties. In some countries, like Australia, naked rallies spoil the social environment. The leadership has to be highly learned and civilized. Leaders should be given time on television and radio to say on socio-economic matters, rather throwing mud on each other. Slowly, a highly civilized contestant society will begin to exist.
• A fragile person becomes courageous: Even a fragile person under the umbrella of ‘underworld’ become courageous and wastes his time and energy serving him/them rather concentrating on his and his family’s betterment. How much time, energy, and money, you and I spend participating in the fight of the next-door neighbor? Nevertheless, during riots, many kind souls save their neighbors from burning their homes, burning people alive, bashing with rods, and rape. The possibility of being killed to survival is a health promotional link activity. An Indian immigrant finds it easier to sleep, play, work, travel, and educate himself in countries like Australia. It is much easier to get the daily routine done in a simpler way and quickly. These countries are peaceful and committed to health and welfare of their citizens. Even a weak person lives like a King in law and order situation, in countries like Australia and England.
• No time to fight: If we concentrate on our socio-economic issues, we will not have time to fight with, other nations. Poverty, unemployment, slums, killing, greed are the features of any society. There is still much to do in our region, own institutions, own families, to facilitate the growth and development of all. Any nation that keeps a certain section of their population poor, which might be due to their low levels of education, unemployment, low wages, or absence of social security benefits, the entire world sees them in hunger, misery, and deprivation. Any nation that wants to overcome poverty and hunger shall raise the actual income of the poor workers to let them have a sufficient amount of money to buy fruit and vegetables. Where do we get money from to raise the income of the poor? We shall print more notes; it is easier to print notes for the poor. Their reward set is very low. They too work hard, enough to justify. Therefore, print more notes. It is the question of notes; food is available. People of England faced poverty, hunger, and deprivation, one time.
• Direct benefits to the beneficiary: If we do not spend money on providing direct health services to prevent and cure illnesses, it will not improve health. The World Bank suggests, in 2012, 896 million people lived on less than $1.90 a day. Globally, more than 162 million children remain undernourished (The Millennium Development Report 2014). Where do we get money from to overcome malnutrition of our people? We shall print more notes; it is easier to print more notes. This mother brings her lunch and does not buy Coffee outside. She knows she has children to look after, because, her colleagues and neighbors have their children the way countries have their citizens. It is a good sacrifice. When university students’ time-to-time buys from the cafeteria, it is a most beautiful thing to watch that children are happy and flourishing. Parents do sacrifice for their children. Children can perform a commendable role, learning and serving food to their parents, cooked at home, and saving money. If parents get a fever, and cannot cook, at least their children can serve them food. It is health promotion. Obedient children look after their parents in need. Why do we send them to school?
• Fires and graffiti: Many criminals’ lit fires to name it as ‘bushfire’ have everlasting shocking effects on body and mind when a fire destroys their homes, also resulting in deaths of adults and children. It is not health promotion. Graffiti done by the destructive social elements adds anxiety and distress to the house owners.
• Cleanliness: If we allow our citizens to keep our country filthy, diseases like malaria, dengue, and plague will grip society into illnesses and deaths. The basics of illness prevention are clean water, sanitation, and hygiene, including immunization programs to cure diseases. Even on Saturdays and Sundays, we keep universities neat and clean. Otherwise, foreign visitors would consider it work inefficiencies or just littering around.
• Reallocations: Some areas like Queensland in Australia are flood prone. People loose life, and their homes, engineers know. It is the duty of the government to relocate them in other states to save them from these known natural catastrophes. When rain floods the houses and the town, that is the time; the town planners can rectify the problems of flooding through better sewerages. The housing ministry needs to find out reasons why some people sleep outside and arrange to have a roof on them with other necessities of life. In countries like Australia and England, many sleep outside.

Some more postulates
• Do not demoralize yourself listening to others: Sad movies, sad songs, and a sad, negative talk, might make you sad, due to undue thinking. If you listen to this song, ‘her eyes waiting for you’ you might get into thinking, oh, she is waiting for me. In fact, she might be working/enjoying/sleeping. Do not get into emotional traps of being inferior to anyone. Religious conventions may unduly make you conscious, that, you might have done many crimes. In fact, you might be living a good workable life, looking after your family members, taking them to swimming, gymnastics, music classes, etc. Many people are at work, police officers, doctors, and road builders when we are asleep or enjoying. The mouse does her work, and the ant does her work. They cannot trade-in their work.
• Their time too is specific: We came to Australia in 1994. It was amazing. Banking services, postal services, telephone services, gas and water supply, bus, train, hospitals and universities, all services, we found, very efficient. Timing is important. In highly progressive countries, like Australia even music shows are perfectly time bound. Ambulances reach well in time. All entities are, well tuned in their work ethics. A timely CPR given to a person saves the life of the person. A sizeable number of workers in all countries of the world become discouraged workers after unsuccessfully seeking unemployment. The consequences are social, health, and economic. If you marry late, your partner would also be of your age, with similar health and emotional conditions.
• Child and mothers’ health: A mother’s body needs full recovery, emotional, and health wise before having another child. Also, in the responsibility of taking care of the first child, a couple needs to have a gap of at least two to three years before having another child so that the first child gets proper attention of his/her parents. Timing is important.
• Do not eat much: Many suggest; we should be eating breakfast like a King to remain healthy, and eat dinner like a beggar, to remain healthy. In reality, those who eat heavy breakfast might have a tendency to eat more during lunchtime and dinnertime. If we eat a heavy breakfast (especially bread and butter), our body becomes lethargic and exhausted; we might feel taking rest/sleep, even before the start of the day. On Saturdays and Sundays, many of us eat double the amount required, we feel sleepy. Add a spoon of Eno salt in a glass of normal tap water; it brings down the blood pressure. Drink lemon water without adding sugar and salt to lose weight. Those who get heartburns due to margarine, ghee, cheese, biscuits, cakes, soft drinks, soups, and other products, which have preservatives, drinking cold milk straight away from the fridge would stop their heartburn. Seek your doctor’s advice. If parents take their children to McDonalds, children are going to be obese. If our stable food is bread, butter, pizza, cake and biscuits, children are going to be obese.
• Do not plea unnecessarily: Eat healthy food, do not tell the chemist, that you love eating food, and you need something strong to suppress your appetite.
• Exercise: Look at my body, shoulders, tummy, legs, and hips. You can tell, whether I do some regular exercise or not to keep my body in shape. To be lazy is not a promotional health model. A regular exercise is important. It builds our muscles, purifies the blood, improves eyesight and breathing, improves complexion, memory, and helps to remain cheerful. A little walk outside or chat with a friend brings you happiness. Several environmental factors linked to urbanization can discourage people from becoming more active, such as fear of violence and crime in outdoor areas, high-density traffic, low air quality, pollution, and lack of parks, sidewalks, and sports/recreation facilities, WHO suggests. I would like to recommend this textbook: Workouts for everyone by Dona Jones. It mentions about, inhaling and exhaling while performing exercises.
• Do not consume cigarettes and alcohol: If a nation produces cigarettes and liquor, people, will get to, hospital. It is a health demotion activity. The Society shall face social, economic, and health consequences. If parents drink and smoke, children shall be drinking and smoking. They are not promoting their children’s health. One cigarette is enough to get 4,000 poisons in our body. Alcohol takes our mind away – we cannot think properly resulting in domestic violence, accidents, and other crimes, including known and unknown illnesses. If we grant licenses to sell alcohol and cigarettes, we are mitigating people to consume these undesirables.
• Eating meats: WHO warns, eating processed meats like hot dogs, sausages, and bacon can cause colorectal cancer in humans, and red meat is a likely cause of the disease. Any animal, if suffering from cancer or other diseases known and unknown become a source of diseases to humans. The mad cow disease is one of the many examples.
• Divorce and Separation: Children love both parents; their crying reflects sadness. Seeing their parents together, they remain cheerful. Children do ask many times, when is mummy coming back from the hospital. When is daddy coming back from work? Parents have a different role to play. Mothers are their best teachers – they devote time to them. Dad provides them a cushion of emotional support. When parents fight, children become scared of their next violent act and false language. Children, also go through inferiority complexes of being poor. Grant them a better thinking, good judgment, and, a belief in progress, socially, and economically. Nevertheless, low paid workers require a much higher salary to let them buy necessities of life. Therefore, print more notes.
• A visit to the Church of Lord and Temple are good activities: If we choose to go to pubs, clubs, and nightclubs, the outcome might be very different.
• Before things, get wrong: It is good to learn any martial art, but it is very important to control your inbuilt courage and anger. We must not use abusive language, even behind the back. It only adds anxiety and anger without reason. People do not count it good personality traits.

Two more postulates
• Cats and dogs: The sharing of beds and sofas with dogs, and cats, keeping them in laps, hands on them, and kissing is unhygienic, and causes many animal-related diseases.
• Shouting and screaming: If you want to stretch your voice beyond your pitch by shouting and screaming, it will worsen your vocal chords; your voice will become croaky, there is a limit to everything. Conversely, if you sing on someone’s lower pitch, in that case too, your voice suppresses, even if you are to open your mouth wider. The right pitch is important. Also, you have headaches, your sinusitis close, you see wrinkles around your eyes, your jaws get dislocated with pain in the mouth if you sing low. My high pitch is my comfortable zone. Many music teachers take it for granted that all sing on the same pitch. It is wrong. People have different voice pitches. My pitch could be different to yours. The voice will come out only when we sing on the right pitch.

Vigilant steps
Many countries including Australia and England have taken vigilant steps to promote socio-economic development of individuals. Individuals, families and institutions still have to divert their nation’s resources from undesirable production activities to most desirable production activities; facilitating the development of all (including poor which also includes students and children) through good education norms. Parents will have fewer worries when their children become obedient. Their health shall improve. Parents who currently smoke and drink must give up, and do not bring any liquor at home. This way, children will help saving lots of money by not spending on liquor because they would know that liquor is not a part of their meal, rather, they would spend on fruit and vegetables to fulfill their families need. Not all daddies are wealthy. Good parents look after their children, by not spending on cigarettes or alcohol. It will improve the social and economic welfare of their family members. Families must not put their children on cigarettes and liquor. These are undesirable goods, which destroy families in various ways. Including parents and teachers must understand. If in a village, one man sells cigarettes and liquor and other man sells milk, bread, butter, fruit and vegetable, what do you buy for your children? Society must not be it’s self-destructive. A teacher establishes the society. A gambler or a cigarette and alcohol seller destroys it. All good activities that promote health care are health promotional activities. The Chinese were first to invent umbrellas for us to protect from rain. People should be using umbrellas to protect from sunburn. It is a case of health promotion.
