Tropicana Tease opens at the Moonah Arts Centre this Saturday.
Expect hot Latin beats, colourful costumes and shimmying showgirls. Tropicana Tease delves into the heart of Brazilian culture – with a twist of burlesque.
Tropicana Tease is the brainchild of burlesque and samba performer, Evie Red (WA). The event took Melbourne by storm in 2014 and 2015 with sell out events. The show takes its first interstate tour to Tasmania this week.
“It is the perfect time to bring this fabulous Rio- inspired party to Tasmania. Everything has just come together perfectly,” said Evie Red, producer and founder of Tropicana Tease.
“We have amazing circus artists, musicians, samba dancers and burlesque starlets all under the one roof,” said Ms Red.
“It really is a complete variety show. There is something for everyone,” she added.
Tropicana Tease features prestigious Australian entertainers including Miss Burlesque Australia and Burlesque Hall of Fame Winner, Zelia Rose
“Bringing Zelia Rose to Tasmania is a privilege. She is one of the best artists in the business, having just finished touring with the Australian Burlesque Festival. Tasmanian audiences are going to be blown away”, said Grace Cherry, co-producer and burlesque performer.
“I’m excited to be working with Evie Red to bring this truly unique event to Tasmania – it is more than your standard burlesque show,” said Grace Cherry.
