Independent JLN Senator Elect for Tasmania Jacqui Lambie has welcomed contact from the Australian insurance council to her office.
However the Tasmanian Senator Elect has repeated her call to question under oath, every major insurance executive in Australia before a Senate Committee – about they way they conduct their business, following complaints from Tasmanians who say insurance companies have rejected their flood damage claims.
“I’m happy that the Insurance industry has responded so quickly to my concerns. In due course – after I’m officially sworn in as a Tasmanian Senator – I will take up their offer to meet with industry reps and leaders – and discuss the Tasmanian flood victims claims.” said Senator Elect Lambie.
“However I’ll repeat my message from earlier today – if you are a Tasmanian business or household affected by the recent and devastating Tasmanian floods, and have been refused insurance payments by your insurer, please contact my office by calling 03 6431 2233, or you can email [email protected].” said Senator Elect Lambie.
