Luke Rocchia has seen the power of a wish. That is why, Cultura Espresso Bar and Restaurant, will be serving free coffees to patrons all day on Wednesday 13th July, with patrons asked only to make a donation to Make-A-Wish Australia as payment for their coffee.

The initiative has been going since 2014, when Make-A-Wish Hobart branch volunteer, Kell, approached her good friend Luke to organise a fundraising event.

“I had been volunteering with the Hobart branch for only a few months but had already been reeled into the amazing work that the charity does. I wanted to help create an event that would have the potential to involve all of the community and increase awareness of the charity”.

‘Coffee for a Wish’ was the brain child of Kell and Luke and is now in its third year.

“We are continually overwhelmed by the generosity of the people of Hobart, and their willingness to support this fantastic charity,” said Luke.

“Being involved with Make-A-Wish is an absolute privilege. I am in awe of the amazing work that volunteers like Kell do to make the wishes of sick children come true”

“As a business owner, I feel like this is one way that I can contribute to this important cause”, he said.

‘Coffee for a Wish’ day will be held on Wednesday 13th July at Cultura Espresso Bar and Restaurant, 123 Liverpool Street. Coffee will be available all day, starting at 7.30am. The Hero’s-For-Kids will be available for photos with kids and adults alike for a donation to Make-A-Wish Hobart.
