Tasmania is currently swathed in a mantle of blue.
My television incites me to vote for a “Liberal Senate Team” – a group of faceless men ( Bob Burton, TT HERE ).
I wonder who the corporate gnomes funding this extremely costly blue blitzkrieg are, and what they expect in return.
At the last election it was the oil, gas and coal majors abetted by the privatised electricity utilities which paid their money to advance the Liberal cause in a concerted effort to scrap the Mining Tax and the Carbon Tax, and to see the back of Carbon Credits.
Their enormous financial clout created a group of Australian political harlots within the Liberal Party who sold themselves and their principles on the hard cold bed of an election for large sums of ready cash.
A Mining Tax was good policy which inescapably taxed the miners at source. This upset the rich and powerful whose annual bonus relies on corporate profits improved by the scam of back-to- back loans from tax havens.
A Carbon Tax was also good policy. This cutting-edge benchmark met with international approval and was serving Tasmania well in creating a positive cash flow approaching $300 million for our very own Hydro Tasmania.
Tasmania’s Liberal senators represented the financial interests of their party, not those of Tasmanians, and sold themselves as faceless and nameless political harlots to Big Business. They deserted Tasmania for reasons of political expediency while condemning Hydro Tasmania to bankruptcy on a dry bed of nails.
To add insult to injury the Abetzian/Abbott Liberals closed down, wherever possible, the renewable power industry. Those who promoted climate change lost their jobs and the CSIRO has been decimated.
That is real power, power that only money can buy.
The Carbon Credits scheme for the retention and protection of Tasmanian forests under the Tasmanian Forest Agreement was a potential Tasmanian goldmine.
The Liberals tore up the Tasmanian Forest Agreement after having carefully paid out Ta Ann and their logging mates before the papers were consigned to the flames.
Out of hatred of the Greens, the Abetzian/Abbott Liberals applied to UNESCO to roll back the World Heritage Listing to secure the logging of the iconic Tasmanian Western Tiers, a matter the United Nations properly dismissed – to the eternal shame of all Australians.
Well may these awful men remain faceless.
Bass and Lyons are critical to the survival of the Turnbull Government and as a consequence the money, like the rain, is flooding into Tasmania from the mainland’s Liberal headquarters.
• Money is now raised via the banks to prevent a Labor royal commission into their dirty washing.
• Money is now raised via the medical world of pathology, private medicine and the insurance industry to protect gravy trains of profitability ( Bob Burton TT HERE … ).

Abetz and Nikolic are the failed apostles and acolytes of a booted-out Abbott.
In the interests of harmony they should have gone with him as they have absolutely nothing in common with Turnbull, and to put it bluntly they spell future Trouble for Turnbull.
Will Tasmanians renew the licence of these political harlots, both of whom are destined to bring that Big House in Canberra into further disrepute, in my view?
