Daniel Baker – our second Tasmanian Senate candidate for the double-dissolution federal election on July 2 – is a dynamic young father of four.
He was born and raised in Melbourne and he, his wife, Shannon, and their family, moved to Hobart three years ago for his work as a business development manager.
Mr Baker said he had had a long-term interest in politics.
‘I see this as an opportunity to quickly do something that is so important for the safety of our children and those of our country.
‘I have followed Derryn Hinch for many years on his various radio and television programs and I always thought the positions he advocated were common sense. The trouble is of course, that common sense isn’t so common. If it was, the policy platform we are putting forward would already have been implemented’.
