The Tasmanian Greens are thrilled to announce that Terrill Riley-Gibson will be the party’s candidate for the Division of Bass at the upcoming federal election.
Ms Riley-Gibson, of Launceston, is a qualified Social Worker & Rehabilitation Adviser and former successful small business owner.
She won numerous awards during her time as a small business owner in NSW including, Champion New Business of the Year, Most Outstanding Store, and was a finalist in the Small Business Champion Entrepreneur.
In 2014 she started the ‘Long Ride 4 Life’ – a horse trek from Longreach Queensland to Tasmania. Ms Riley-Gibson raised $50 000 for the Leukaemia Foundation and Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Ms Riley-Gibson has also been involved in community volunteer projects for many years including Landcare.
“I’m thrilled to be standing up for Greens values and to be the real alternative for the people of Bass,” Ms Riley-Gibson said.
“My background in small business and helping people through tough times means that I can relate to the challenges and opportunities facing the people of Bass

Greens Senator for Tasmania Nick McKim said Ms Riley-Gibson would be a passionate and dedicated advocate for Northern Tasmania.
“She will be part of a united Greens team offering real solutions to global warming, a more compassionate approach to refugees and for a brighter, smarter Tasmania,” Senator McKim said.
